Guestbook

We have been renting since 2004 and we take pride to provide a comfortable and clean property so our guest will spend the most enjoyable holidays.

Every year, we like to make some improvements, so our very loyal guests enjoy their stay even more.

  • We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the villa! The perfect place for daytrips or staying at home! Would recommend it to everyone!

  • We stayed for 2 weeks in July and August and felt very lucky to have been able to get there, after a lot of uncertainty over the preceding months. The location is ideal for a relaxing stay. The pool and air conditioning were excellent and gave us respite from the very hot temperatures. The gite is well equipped. Stephanie was very helpful and understanding in the weeks of uncertainty before we actually got there. Thank you for a great holiday.

  • The property is located in a pleasant village, and it was a peaceful place to relax and explore the surrounding area. There are several pleasant footpaths for walking through the countryside to nearby villages. Also, it was convenient for visiting several interesting towns, namely Sommieres, Uzes, Sauve, Ales and Nimes.

  • We stayed in September, the house was very well equipped and comfortable. The garden is pleasant, though the plants could do with some attention, but the swimming pool was lovely, and of a decent size. It's a very convenient location, except if you want bars or restaurants to walk to! There's a good supermarket at La Calmette, 5/10 minutes drive away. There's a train station at Saint Genies with an hourly train to Nimes (20 mins) and beyond. And the weather was perfect!

  • We have just spent two wonderfully relaxing weeks in this lovely house. Everything provided, including the weather. The house has air conditioning which was a bonus in the 40+ temperatures. The pool was ideal for both swimmers and non swimmers and the steps made an ideal place to sit and 'chat'. Communication with the owners was excellent. Would certainly recommend this house.

  • We spent a lovely week here. The villa is furnished and equipped just like we’d do ourselves. We felt so at home here. And the area is beautiful, with lovely scenery and fascinating towns within easy distance. We only wished we had more time as a week just isn’t enough. And very helpful owners too. We definitely hope to return.

  • 5 of us stayed here for 2 weeks. Exceeded our expectations with a fantastic pool, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, lovely hillside village setting surrounded by vineyards (great for dog walking) Breakfast & dinner sat outside by the pool under the awning won't be forgotten. Good location for trips to the Camargue, Nimes, Montpellier.

  • This was a great villa to stay in - really well equipped, a great pool, and the outside canopied dining area was well used. Great to use the gas BBQ too. There were 2 close supermarkets (8 minutes away by car) and loads of attractions, both historic and natural.

  • We have just returned from a stay of a week at this lovely comfortable property. It was the first time that we had booked a modern property. On arrival we were thrilled to find a beautifully maintained and well equipped villa. The property has gates so it was very private. The pool was a delight - especially the roman end steps...just right for sitting in with a book on a hot day! We will book again and next time fly down and hire a car.

  • We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this villa. A bright welcoming house with lovely gardens and a pool. Unfortunately the pool was too cold to use but weather hot enough to sunbathe. The rooms were ideal for a family or three couples and equipped with everything any holiday makers would need. Although in a village with no facilities away from Nimes it was easy to get to local villages and towns. In 25 years of holidays in France, this is the best house ever stayed in. We will return!

  • "Maison de Location idéale ! "

  • Too short a break - just 5 days in the villa which we thoroughly enjoyed. taking a leisurely 3 days to drive there and 2 days back. Villa very well equipped, the living room airy and spacious with comfortable sofas. Lovely secluded garden. Ideal weather in October - warm in the sunshine, cooler in the evening and managed a swim most days. Ideally placed for visiting Avignon, Nimes, Pont du Gard, wine tasting, and exploring The Carmague; we loved the Uzes market. Hope very much to return.

  • Just a quick note now we are back at home after a most relaxing week in Montignargues. We loved the villa, superbly equipped, everything we could wish for, especially the pool, from which the children were hard to dislodge. We have stayed in several villas over the years and this has been the best. Coming back to crowded rainy London straight after a relaxing drive down to the fantastic Sommiere market was a shock to the system.

  • We have stayed at this property for a total of five summers starting in 2007. You could say we like it, and we certainly do. We have visited France many times and have stayed in many properties over the years. We can honestly say that this is one of the best. It is ideally situated to visit the many sights in the region. The owners, Stephanie and Robert, make improvements to the villa each year. We have met them and they are a charming and very helpful young couple. The villa is attractive, has a pretty enclosed garden with a large swimming pool. The whole property is clean, well-maintained with many facilities that are now the expected norm. The livingroom has an enormous flat-screen television that receives English, Freeview and French programmes. The air conditioning in the main bedroom is particularly welcome on hot summer nights. Places to see and restaurants in the area are too numerous to mention. However, we would recommend a visit to the Tourist Information Office in Uzes where there are lots of brochures and the staff are very helpful. Also the Visitors Book in the villa is well worth a read regarding what to see, do and where to eat (including many honest comments worth noting). Uzes is one of our favourite places. It has lots of charm with excellent cafes, bars and restaurants: absolutely wonderful for people-watching. Although it is just the two of us, the villa is ideal for families - the pool will be particularly enjoyed by children, teenagers and adults alike. We usually take two days to get there and two days to return staying in Premiere Classe Hotels (Rouen/Clermont Ferrand going and Bourges/Boulogne homeward), both via the Channel Tunnel. In a nut-shell: the area is breathtakingly beautiful (ideal for art and history lovers) the villa is excellent and we thoroughly recommend it without hesitation.

  • Just a note to thank you for the prompt return of our deposit. We pride ourselves on the way we leave a property and trust everything was satisfactory. We had a delightful week, a very spacious and well equipped base to explore and the pool an added bonus. The weather was perfect. We have rented 12 previous "gites" all over France and may well return to yours. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your Home.

  • Really enjoyed our week at Soleil du Gard and the amount of equipment and toys for our toddler was great!

  • Just a quick note to thank you for a lovely stay at the villa and to acknowledge the return of our security deposit cheque. We had a great week and managed a few dips in the pool. It is a great holiday area, very varied, and the dogs enjoyed their walks on the beach and in the mountains too.

  • Many thanks for renting us your superb house in France - we were very comfortable and also found the area extremely interesting. We enjoyed it so much in fact that we would like to book again for next year.

  • Just arrived back home after a great week and a bit in Montignargues. Loved the villa and we had great weather. Swam in the pool every day, it was a bit cool but invigorating (especially at 8.00am !!! ) Also visited most of the best sights around and tasted a good few wines !!!Hope to return again some time

  • We had a very enjoyable stay in your lovely villa, which we found very comfortable and so well equipped, we really appreciated the generous supply of everything from towels to cleaning materials. We'd very much like to stay again in the future.

  • Many Thanks for returning my deposit. We had a great holiday with excellent weather and much enjoyed the area. Last year after 6very successful rentals we had bad experience with a property that was unfortunately dirty and poorly equipped. YOUR VILLA in Montignargues was exactly the OPPOSITE, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and with everything one would want in a rental, especially the lovely pool that was a blessing in the hot weather.
